RepairFix with financing round in the high single-digit millions and new name

RepairFix receives high single-digit million financing from BASF Coatings and now trades as motum. The digital platform optimizes customers' fleet management.
Münster / Munich - RepairFix has secured a high single-digit million euro amount from main investor BASF Coatings GmbH in a new financing round. As part of a strategic development, the company will now operate under the name "motum" to emphasize its future direction.
We are delighted that BASF continues to support and trust us as an investor. This brings us closer to our goal of making vehicle fleets fit for the challenges of future mobility.
Dr. Moritz Weltgen, CEO and co-founder of motum
The motum software platform from RepairFix enables fleet operators to ensure optimum availability and operational readiness of their vehicles. The company was founded in 2020 by Dr. Moritz Weltgen, Natalie Meier and Alla Kopylova and is already receiving its second round of financing. The fresh funds will be invested in the further development and expansion of the platform as well as in the expansion into international markets, beyond the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The company currently employs more than 30 people at three locations.
The motum team wants to develop an intelligent operating system for operational fleet management. This is ambitious, but in our view it is exactly what the automotive aftermarket needs to overcome the challenges ahead
Dr. Uta Holzenkamp, Head of the Coatings Division BASF
The renaming of the company to motum underlines its clear focus: it not only wants to offer fleet operators digital claims management, but also enable proactive and operational management of their fleets. Currently, motum supports fleet managers in handling operational tasks such as claims management and vehicle inspections efficiently and digitally. This optimizes the availability of fleets and thus contributes significantly to the success of customer companies. The company has introduced its new motto "#movingfleetsforward" to illustrate this objective.
motum is changing the fleet industry with its operating system for operational fleet management. It acts as a digital everyday helper for fleet managers, enables smooth interaction between fleet management, drivers and workshop partners and ensures that vehicles are always ready for use. motum's customers include over 200 workshops and more than 100 fleets with a total of over 20,000 vehicles. In addition to traditional company fleets such as carglass or McMakler, customers also include leading mobility providers such as book-n-drive, anymove and delivery services such as Knuspr.
With the new financing and its clear focus as motum, the company is well equipped to further develop its operational fleet management and move into new markets. It thus continues to position itself as a central player in the digital transformation of fleet management and offers its customers an efficient solution for optimizing their fleet activities.
