Sereact secures EUR 25 million in Series A financing round for the further development of AI-supported robotics

Robotics startup Sereact receives 25 million euros to further develop its AI-powered robotic solutions and expand their use in the logistics and manufacturing industries.
Stuttgart, January 20, 2025 - Robotics startup Sereact has closed a Series A financing round of 25 million euros. The investment is led by Creandum with additional support from Point Nine and Air Street Capital. The business angels involved include prominent names such as former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg as well as leading minds from the technology industry, including Mehdi Ghissassi (formerly Google DeepMind) and Ott Kaukver (Skype).
Software-based robotics for dynamic automation
Since its foundation in 2021, Sereact has pursued a software-centric approach that leaves traditional, hardware-focused robotics solutions behind. At its core is vision-language-action technology (VLAM), which enables robots to analyze their environment in real time and react flexibly to changing situations - without manual programming.
"Our technology takes robotics to a new level of autonomy. Robots react to their environment instead of following rigid sequences

Customers and industry applications
Sereact's AI models are already being used in the logistics and manufacturing industries. Companies such as the BMW Group, Daimler Truck and Active Ants use the technology to make processes more efficient and adaptable. Thanks to real operating conditions, the algorithms are continuously improving beyond what would be possible with synthetic training data alone.
Expanding research and expansion
With the fresh capital, Sereact plans to expand its R&D activities and support additional robotics platforms, including mobile robots and humanoid systems. It will also expand its presence in the US, accompanied by strategic partnerships and a growing local team.
This funding will allow us to further advance our vision of autonomous, flexible robotics. We want to set new standards for efficiency and intelligence
Ralf Gulde, CEO and co-founder of Sereact
"The possibilities in AI-powered robotics are limitless, and it's great to see this innovation coming out of Europe," says Johan Brenner, General Partner at Creandum. With the Series A funding, Sereact is well equipped to further transform the robotics industry and build a global market leadership in intelligent automation solutions. In the summer of 2023, we already reported about a $5 million round for Sereact.
