SevDesk raises 50 million euros

The Offenburg-based company's Series B financing round is being led by a US investor. The money is to be invested in the product range, service and staff.
The SaaS start-up SevDesk has completed its Series B round and raised 50 million euros. US investor Arena Holdings is leading the round. Another new investor is Carsten Thoma, founder of the e-commerce start-up Hybris, which he once sold to SAP. Existing investors such as LEA Partners, Global Founders Capital and the family office Wecken & Cie are also participating in the round.
"With the new main investors, we are gaining strong partners for the future. We are proud to have won over these tech specialists to help us take the next step in our growth," explained SevDesk CEO Fabian Silberer. The company intends to use the money to expand its product portfolio and service offering, as well as hire more staff.
SevDesk offers cloud-based accounting software aimed primarily at the self-employed, freelancers and small businesses. The Offenburg-based start-up, founded in 2014, now has 165 employees.
