Solarisbank becomes Solaris

In preparation for its transformation into a European stock corporation, the Berlin-based fintech is now simply called "Solaris".

The embedded finance platform Solarisbank today announced its name change to Solaris. The new name is the next step in the "evolution of the brand" and stands for the newly created international group of companies. It will also soon change its legal form from a German stock corporation to a European stock corporation, Societas Europaea (SE).

As a result of expansion and acquisitions in the past, Solaris is now active in eight international locations. In addition to harmonizing operational structures and processes, the new brand is also intended to create a common identity for all employees. "Today, we are a pan-European platform with a broad product offering and a high level of vertical integration," says Layla Qassim, Chief of Staff at Solaris.

Founded in 2016, the fintech operates a SaaS platform that it makes available to companies and other fintechs to enable the processing of their financial services. Solaris is headquartered in Berlin and claims to employ over 750 people in Europe and India.
