Solarisbank becomes Solaris

In preparation for its transformation into a European public company, the Berlin-based fintech now simply calls itself "Solaris."

Embedded finance platform Solarisbank today announced its name change to Solaris. The new name is said to be the next step in the "evolution of the brand" and represents the newly created international group of companies. The latter will also soon change its legal form from a German stock corporation to a European stock corporation, Societas Europaea (SE).

As a result of past expansion and acquisitions, Solaris now operates in eight international locations. In addition to aligning operational structures and processes, the new brand is also intended to create a common identity for all employees. "Today, we are a pan-European platform with a broad product offering as well as a high depth of value," says Layla Qassim, Chief of Staff at Solaris.

Founded in 2016, the fintech operates a SaaS platform that it provides to enterprises and other fintechs to enable the processing of their financial services. Solaris is headquartered in Berlin and says it employs more than 750 people in Europe and in India.
