SPREAD AI raises 30 million dollars
The Berlin and San Francisco-based startup SPREAD AI has closed a Series B financing round of 30 million US dollars. The round is led by DTCP Growth, IQT and OTB Ventures. Other investors include Salesforce as well as HV Capital and NAP as existing backers.
The capital will be used for international expansion, development within the Salesforce ecosystem and deepening in the aerospace, defense and industrial sectors.
AI for complex industrial products
SPREAD AI is developing an "Engineering Intelligence Platform" that brings together fragmented product data along the entire life cycle, from design to production and operation.
The aim is to create so-called "product twins" that connect engineering, production and service data in real time and thus enable better decisions.
Defense, mobility and industry
The company works with global manufacturers from the automotive, aerospace & defense and mechanical engineering sectors. According to the company, customers have been able to accelerate development cycles by up to 30 percent and significantly reduce costs.
A central component of the new phase is closer cooperation with Salesforce. Together, engineering, sales and service processes are to be more closely interlinked. This is to be achieved, for example, through automated error analyses or data-based quotation processes.
SPREAD addresses a structural problem faced by many industrial companies: Data is available in isolated systems, decisions take too long and technical correlations are difficult to use. The platform aims to close this gap between engineering, customer requirements and operational implementation.
With the new funding, SPREAD AI aims to scale the "Engineering Intelligence" category globally and establish itself as the central data and AI layer for industrial product development.
