Startup Rail-Flow closes financing round with 3.6 million euros

The Frankfurt-based freight technology startup attracted the interest of new and existing investors in its latest round and raised 3.6 million in fresh capital. Rethink Ventures and Futury Capital are also on board.

Rail-Flow, the platform provider for rail freight and intermodal transportation, has attracted new investors to expand its business activities. In the latest financing round, the company raised a total of 3.6 million euros from existing and new investors.

The investors in the round include the VCs Rethink Ventures, Futury Capital, as well as the angels Dr. Katrin Suder, Dr. Alexander Hedderich (former CEO DB Schenker) and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Ringbeck (Otto Beisheim School of Management)

Rail-Flow founders Dominik Fürste and Osman Akdemir want to shift freight transport from road to rail and digitize rail freight transport. By replacing telephone, fax, Excel and e-mail, Rail-Flow simplifies, accelerates and reliably documents processes. This is made possible by various modules within the Rail-Flow platform, which digitizes different actions from tender management to real-time tracking and invoicing. The Purchase & Tender Management platform is a marketplace for conventional rail freight transportation.
