Arcos Raises 5.5 Million Euros
The Munich-based security startup Arcos has closed a seed funding round of 5.5 million euros. Participants in the round include High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Bayern Kapital, Pact, Haufe, and Robin Capital, as well as several business angels. Arcos develops and operates an integrated security infrastructure that processes signals from various sensors, assesses security incidents, and centrally manages their operational handling. The company plans to use the capital to expand its team in Germany, further develop the platform, and initially grow its business with operators of critical infrastructure. Expansion into other European markets is planned for later.
WIN Initiative to Grow to 25 Billion Euros
The German federal government and KfW aim to expand the WIN Initiative for Growth and Innovation Capital and mobilize additional private investment in startups and young technology companies. The target investment volume is set to rise from the current 12 billion euros to 25 billion euros, for which an additional 13 billion euros is to be raised. New partners are to be recruited primarily from among family offices, foundations, insurance companies, pension funds, and corporate venture investors. Since the initiative’s launch in September 2024, a total of 2.64 billion euros had been invested by the end of 2025; according to KfW, six of the ten agreed-upon structural measures have already been implemented.
Isometric Expands Series A to $50 Million

The certification startup Isometric has expanded its Series A financing, announced in June, to $50 million with the participation of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the operator of the New York Stock Exchange. In total, the company has raised $75 million to date. With Certify, Isometric is developing an AI-powered platform that works with independent auditors to verify data and information on topics including CO₂ removal, industrial emissions, energy, fuels, and materials. According to the company, it is working on more than 200 projects and collaborates with clients such as Microsoft, Boeing, Anglo American, and JPMorgan Chase.
WEMAG Acquires a 15 Percent Stake in 360Volt

The WEMAG Group has acquired a 15 percent stake in 360Volt Group GmbH, thereby expanding its involvement in the heat supply sector. 360Volt specializes in the technical planning, delivery, and installation of heat pump systems, relying on standardized and digitally supported processes. Its offerings are aimed, among others, at apartment buildings, commercial properties, and complex existing buildings. With this minority stake, WEMAG aims to develop its own heat pump offerings in the future, particularly for customers in the housing sector. 360Volt is set to continue growing as an independent company and, together with WEMAG, implement new solutions for the heat transition.
Aitiologic Raises 6.4 Million Euros
The Vienna-based biotech company Aitiologic has closed an oversubscribed seed financing round totaling 6.4 million euros. The round was led by Heal Capital and Ananda Impact Ventures, with existing investors such as PUSH VC and LANA Ventures also participating. The capital will primarily fund the further development and clinical validation of the Aitios platform, which analyzes cell-free DNA from blood samples using various molecular signals and AI. In its first application, the technology is intended to determine the risk of preeclampsia as early as the first trimester of pregnancy; a validation study involving more than 1,000 pregnancies is currently underway for this purpose. In addition, former Oxford Nanopore CEO Gordon Sanghera is joining as an investor and advisory board member, while Rebecca Ertl has been appointed Chief Medical Officer.
Allianz Invests in the Scaleup Europe Fund
Allianz is investing in the European growth fund Scaleup Europe Fund through several of its Group companies. The fund, managed by EQT, aims to reach a volume of five billion euros and was launched at the initiative of the European Commission and the European Innovation Council. It is designed to support European growth companies with investments of at least 100 million euros each and focuses on sectors such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, semiconductors, robotics, energy, aerospace, and biotechnology. Allianz is primarily investing client assets from its German life and health insurance businesses, as well as funds from Allianz France. The specific amount of the investment was not disclosed.

beglaubigt.de acquires registercheck.de

The Munich-based LegalTech company beglaubigt.de is acquiring the commercial registry platform registercheck.de, which contains approximately five million company records and 28 million registry documents. In the future, the registry data will be integrated into the company formation platform and made available via interfaces to banks, law firms, and AI assistants, among others. With this move, beglaubigt.de aims to automate processes such as verifying company data, tracking changes in shareholders or managing directors, and ongoing monitoring. registercheck.de will continue to operate as a separate brand.
Main Capital Partners Plans to Acquire Tribal Group and Education Provider Watermark
Software investor Main Capital Partners plans to acquire the operating divisions of the British educational software provider Tribal Group, thereby expanding its presence in the United Kingdom. Tribal employs approximately 915 people and serves more than 660 educational institutions worldwide, including over 200 universities. Among other things, the company develops student information systems and software for core processes ranging from admission and enrollment to graduation. Following the acquisition, Main intends to accelerate cloud transformation and product development, drive international expansion, and further grow Tribal through targeted acquisitions. The transaction is still subject to shareholder approval as well as other regulatory and customary closing conditions.
Main Capital Partners also plans to acquire the U.S.-based education software provider Watermark Insights. Based in Austin, the company—with more than 300 employees—serves approximately 1,500 colleges and universities and offers software for accreditation, workforce development, and student success. Together with Main, Watermark is set to continue growing in both North America and Europe.
Spaggiari Acquires Educational Software Provider ESDS
The Italian educational software provider Spaggiari is acquiring the E-Schooling Dream Shaper Group (ESDS), marking its first expansion outside Italy through an acquisition. ESDS operates in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America and offers eSchooling and iScholar—software for the digital management of educational institutions—as well as DreamShaper, a platform for project-based learning. The solutions are used by more than 3,000 schools and approximately 1.5 million students. For Spaggiari, ESDS marks the fourth acquisition since the entry of Ambienta, an asset manager specializing in sustainability.

Sustaind Secures AI Compliance Solution Through Munich Re

The Bielefeld-based AI startup Sustaind is partnering with Great Lakes Insurance SE, a member of the Munich Re Group, to provide a performance guarantee for its compliance service. The platform monitors legal requirements and changes in more than 120 countries and uses this data to create legal registries for companies. If a relevant legal change is overlooked while using the AI-based technology, Sustaind states that it will be liable to the customer; the associated risk is covered under the agreed insurance terms with Great Lakes.
FMC and EUCLYD Develop Alternative to Traditional AI GPUs
The Dresden-based semiconductor company FMC and the Dutch technology company EUCLYD have announced a strategic partnership to develop a European AI infrastructure. The initiative aims to combine EUCLYD’s Craftwerk architecture—developed for AI applications—with FMC’s nvDRAM+ and Cache+ memory technologies. The goal is to create an alternative to existing GPU-based systems that will enable greater energy efficiency and reduced dependence on traditional DRAM, particularly for large AI workloads. At the same time, the companies intend to place greater emphasis on data sovereignty and security requirements. FMC and EUCLYD are initially focusing on architecture, system integration, and the development of a corresponding technology ecosystem.
Aroundtown Partners with Climate X for Climate Risk Analyses

The real estate group Aroundtown will collaborate with the climate tech company Climate X to assess physical climate risks within its real estate portfolio in greater detail. To this end, Climate X is adapting its data-driven models to the specific characteristics of the Aroundtown portfolio and analyzing the potential impacts of various climate and emissions scenarios on both individual buildings and the entire portfolio. The results are intended to help Aroundtown identify climate-related risks early on and factor them into investment, sustainability, and real estate decisions. A custom-developed Climate X report has already been used as part of a BREEAM certification process.

Florian Taitsch Takes Over Communications at ARX Robotics

ARX Robotics has appointed Florian Taitsch as Senior Director of Marketing & Communications. In this newly created position, he has been responsible for communications, marketing, and branding at the Munich-based defense tech company since September 1, 2026. Taitsch brings more than 20 years of communications experience in the aerospace and defense industries and has previously worked for Airbus, among others. Most recently, he spent four years as Vice President of Communications and Marketing, leading communications at Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH. At ARX Robotics, he will focus in particular on further developing the company’s positioning and visibility.
Peter Schmetz Becomes a Partner at Vorwerk Ventures

The Berlin-based venture capital firm Vorwerk Ventures has appointed Peter Schmetz as a partner, effective immediately. Schmetz has been with the company since 2018 and most recently served as a principal. During this time, he was responsible for investments in Planted Foods, Spot my Energy, and pace club, among others. With his promotion, Vorwerk Ventures is expanding its existing partner team. The firm was founded in 2007 as an investment vehicle of the Vorwerk Group and has operated as an independent fund since 2019. According to its own figures, Vorwerk Ventures has invested in more than 60 companies and completed 18 exits across four fund generations, including two unicorns.
Björn Franke Takes Over Legora’s DACH Business

The legal AI company Legora has appointed Björn Franke as Regional Vice President for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The former principal at the Boston Consulting Group has been with Legora since June 2026 and will head the new Munich office, which is set to open in September. In his new role, Franke will be responsible for regional growth, team building, and collaboration with law firms and legal departments. According to the company, more than 150 organizations in the DACH region are already using the platform, including CMS, Linklaters, Henkel, and Commerzbank. Globally, Legora counts approximately 1,800 law firms and in-house legal departments in more than 50 markets among its clients and plans to expand its workforce in the EMEA region to 700 employees within the next six to twelve months.

Innovatisten Opens Innovation Center in Vechta

Innovatisten GmbH is opening its new innovation center, innoLab, in Vechta on October 1. Spanning approximately 200 square meters, the facility will feature about twelve flexible coworking spaces as well as conference, training, and communal areas for companies, startups, and founders. The focus is on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and change management. Among other things, companies will be able to have their employees trained there in the use of AI applications. The city of Vechta is providing four discounted spaces for entrepreneurs, and the district is additionally supporting young companies with a rent subsidy. The offering is complemented by the existing START program and an adjacent makerspace operated by the Ulderup Foundation.
