Teamviewer buys Austrian start-up

With the acquisition of Xaleon, Teamviewer is expanding its customer communication offering. All that is known about the purchase price is that it is in the low double-digit million range.
Xaleon's offering has been part of TeamViewer since last November as a white label - i.e. without appearing as a brand - and now the Linz-based start-up has been acquired. The sum paid by Teamviewer has not been disclosed. All that is known is that it is in the low double-digit millions.
Xaleon was founded in Linz in 2018 by Horst-Georg Fuchs, Markus Wagner and Mathias Holzinger. The start-up is dedicated to optimized and personalized digital customer communication with companies using customer engagement software. It offers functions such as chatbots, co-browsing and live chats - all GDPR-compliant. "We are thrilled to now be part of TeamViewer," says Wagner, CEO of Xaleon.
Last year, Teamviewer was able to increase its billed sales by 40 percent to 456 million euros. The Swabian company offers remote maintenance software. At the end of 2020, it had over half a million customers. CEO Oliver Steil says of Xaleon's acquisition: "Xaleon is a great addition to our existing product portfolio."
