Toni Kroos becomes advertising face for cell phone films

The footballer advertises for Green Mnky. DHDL investor Carsten Maschmeyer arranged the deal.
Anyone can now stick Toni Kroos on their cell phone: The Real Madrid footballer is advertising the cell phone foil start-up Green Mnky, which became famous via the TV show "Die Höhle der Löwen". Green Mnky's webshop offers different colored lettering of the German world champion for the back of cell phones. Part of the proceeds go to the Toni Kroos Foundation. So far, however, the start-up from Aschaffenburg has only raised just under 500 euros with the cooperation.
"Carsten Maschmeyer gave me the idea of working with Green Mnky," says Kroos. "I'm very happy about this cooperation. Part of the proceeds will go to my foundation, which we use to help seriously ill children. We want to continue to grow with it and become bigger so that we can help even more children."
Maschmeyer and Nils Glagau invested 400,000 euros in Green Mnky together on the Vox show "Die Höhle der Löwen" last year. At the time, Maschmeyer promised the founders that he would be able to win over a global star as a testimonial.
Green Mnky was founded in 2019 by Ziya Orhan, Oliver Klingenbrunn and Björn Salg. Maschmeyer and Glagau secured 24% of the shares. Green Mnky sells its films in 900 locations and is now active in ten European countries. According to the start-up, it provides retailers with high-precision cutters so that they can cut precisely fitting films for their customers in-store.
