Ubirch introduces advisory board

The newly formed board will advise the Cologne-based security start-up. Ubirch was able to recruit two respected IT experts.
The Cologne-based start-up Ubirch is founding an advisory board. The board is to take on advisory and representative functions and drive the networking of the company. Urmi Prasad Richardson and Birte Sewing will sit on Ubirch's advisory board. Richardson is President of the US technology company Thermo Fisher Scientific and responsible for the Europe, Africa and Middle East region. Sewing was until recently COO at company builder Finleaps (Startbase reported). She also previously worked at McKinsey, Deutsche Bank and ERGO.
Ubirch is a security start-up that, among other things, was involved in the development of the digital vaccination certificate (Startbase reported). The start-up wants to secure Internet-of-Things applications in order to transmit verified measurement data, for example. In addition to the vaccination certificate, Ubirch has secured a sim card with its blockchain-based technology. "We are extremely proud to have such high-profile female experts supporting us with their experience, technical expertise and a valuable network by serving on our advisory board," said Stephan Noller, CEO and co-founder of Ubirch. "Both women are 'fast and out of the box thinkers'. Their expertise will enrich our work enormously and help to close trust gaps in digital business models that have been lying dormant. The advisory board members will help us find the trust vacuum relevant to our business model in the respective market segments and address it in the right way."
Advisory board member Urmi Prasad Richardson says of the panel's formation, "Ubirch is an intrepid pioneer in cybersecurity. The company's solution strikes the perfect balance between transparency and discretion in the digital world - a critical issue as we move forward in healthcare management. It is a pleasure and a real concern for me to be able to support Ubirch on its way to international success."
Birte Sewing says: "Our economy needs a secure digital infrastructure. Hacker attacks and data leaks are major and very real risks for businesses, no matter what sector: whether energy supply, banking, healthcare or insurance - the list of industries affected by cybercrime is long. Due to this worrying global trend, promising solutions like Ubirch's must finally gain momentum and be rapidly deployed internationally."
