UnitPlus closes seed financing of 4.7 million euros

Berlin-based fintech startup UnitPlus secures 4.7 million euros with Pact and other investors to further develop its financial solutions

Berlin, October 28, 2024 - Berlin-based fintech startup UnitPlus secures €4.7 million in seed funding. The financing round was led by UK VC Pact, with additional support from Seed X from Liechtenstein and VCs Material Ventures, Nextblue, Robin Capital and Exxeta Ventures. Well-known business angels and existing investors such as Daniel Dippold (founder of Ewor), Alexandros Bottenbruch (PayPal Ventures) and the Dr. Giesen Family Office also participated in the round.

Expansion of the capital market platform

UnitPlus plans to use the new funds to expand the platform's technological infrastructure and further develop its product range for private and business clients. In the private client segment, UnitPlus is working on an AI-based savings plan and new portfolios in the areas of active ETFs and private equity. At the corporate level, the startup wants to expand its cash management solution "UnitPlus Business" to include functions such as cash flow forecasts and additional investment products.

UnitPlus Business: Digital capital market CFO for companies

UnitPlus Business is aimed specifically at medium-sized companies that rely on cash management that can react flexibly to market conditions. With the aim of providing the world's first digital capital market CFO, the product helps to invest capital optimally and thus increase the profitability of companies. According to Fabian Mohr, co-founder of UnitPlus, the successful financing round proves that there is a growing need for innovative capital market solutions for both private individuals and companies.

In the first half of 2024, UnitPlus recorded a 134% increase in assets under management. On the private client side, the average investment amount is EUR 10,000 per person, while the average monthly savings plan is EUR 210. In the first 10 weeks after its market launch, corporate assets in the double-digit million range were already invested via the UnitPlus Business product.

Pact and the other investors involved see great potential in UnitPlus to revolutionize the treasury management of small and medium-sized companies through digital solutions. The current investments are intended to put the fintech start-up on course for further growth and contribute to the optimization of capital allocation for customers.
