Aleph Alpha secures over half a billion US dollars in Series B financing round

A consortium of renowned investors, including Bosch Ventures and SAP, invests in Aleph Alpha to support the development and commercialization of trustworthy AI.

Heidelberg, Germany - Aleph Alpha, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) company focused on explainable and trustworthy applications, has successfully closed a Series B funding round. The company raised over $500 million from a consortium of seven new and existing investors.

With this latest investment, we will further expand our capabilities and enable our partners to be at the forefront of this technological development ... The main investors in this financing round are Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (Ipai), Bosch Ventures and the Schwarz Group companies. New investors such as Christ&Company Consulting, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, SAP and Burda Principal Investments have also participated. Existing investors from previous rounds have also participated. The funds from this financing round will be invested in foundation model research, enhanced product capabilities for mission-critical environments and commercialization with selected partners.

Aleph Alpha offers business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) solutions based on explainable and trustworthy AI applications. These applications are designed to support companies and public authorities in sensitive industries such as healthcare, finance, law, administration and security.

The investment package also includes close collaboration on applied research and business development between Aleph Alpha and the consortium. There are also guaranteed license agreements in place to support Aleph Alpha's business model.
