autarc secures millions in financing for heat pump expansion

autarc, a Berlin-based energy startup, receives funding from investors such as PT1 and business angels to transform the heating industry with innovative planning software

Berlin, 11.12.2023 - Berlin-based energy startup autarc has completed a successful pre-seed financing and raised a single-digit million amount. Investors such as PT1 - PropTech1 Ventures, better ventures and well-known business angels such as Kai Hansen, founder of Lieferando, have supported the company.

autarc aims to use its planning software to decarbonize the building sector by 2030 and install one million heat pumps. The software is designed to help heating engineers work more efficiently and facilitate the transition to modern heat pumps. autarc's software reduces the planning time for heat pumps by up to 50 percent through the use of artificial intelligence and LiDAR scanners. This should help installers save time and reduce administrative work.

Fabian Koenig, Investment Manager at PT1 - PropTech1 Ventures, emphasizes the importance of optimizing installation companies in view of the imminent decarbonization of the heat supply in Europe. Tina Dreimann, founder and Managing Director of better ventures, on the other hand, emphasizes that autarc plays a role in accelerating the rollout of heat pumps. They believe the company is well positioned in view of the expected market potential in Germany by 2030.

autarc was founded in January 2023 by Etienne-Noel Krause and Thies Hansen. Their goal is to accelerate the transition to climate-neutral apartments and houses by building a leading heat pump operating system. The company offers a subscription for installers and develops an operating system that supports the transition to fossil-free heating solutions. The software offers features such as heat load calculation, hydronic balancing and sizing, complemented by artificial intelligence and LiDAR scanners to facilitate the installation process.
