Bucher Municipal acquires Enway

The vehicle manufacturer had already cooperated with the software start-up before. Together, the companies now want to put autonomous driving sweepers on the road.
Swiss vehicle manufacturer Bucher Municipal is acquiring the start-up Enway. The Berlin-based company's software solution is already used in one of the sweepers manufactured by Bucher. In the future, the two companies will now be even more closely linked.
Enway, founded in 2017, offers software for autonomous driving. The Berlin-based company focuses on commercial vehicles, especially municipal sweepers. In Singapore, where the startup also has a location, a Bucher machine equipped with the software was already approved for test operation last year.
The Enway brand is to continue, Bucher said in a statement. The current management team will also remain on board. The two locations in Berlin and Singapore will also continue to operate, which is why all Enway employees will remain on board after the takeover.
