"Carl and Carla" puts the thousandth vehicle into operation

By 2025, the start-up wants to be represented in 40 cities. That is eight more than before.
The minibus rental company Carl and Carla has put its thousandth vehicle into operation, Sachsen Fernsehen reported. By 2025, the start-up plans to offer its minibuses in all 40 German cities with more than 200,000 inhabitants. So far, the Dresden-based company has been present in 32 German cities.
Bastian Thiere, Martin Wesner, Richard Vetter and Gregor Wendt founded Carl and Carla in 2013, and the start-up offers three minibus models: The "Carl" van, the 9-seater "Carla" minibus and XL van "Carlos." Through the platform, users can book the vehicles and pick them up at a rental station in the city.
In the coming years, Carl and Carla also wants to expand electromobility. Tests are currently underway for an "E-Carl." However, the electrically powered minibus is not yet available throughout Germany and the charging infrastructure is also still lacking.
