Chloé Mayenobe becomes head of growth at Solarisbank

She could soon be the first woman to join the bank's board.

Chloé Mayenobe joins Solarisbank in Berlin as Chief Growth Officer and General Representative on March 01. If BaFin approves, she is expected to join the board in the second half of the year. The bank has created her new position. Mayenobe is to be part of the extended management board. There she will be responsible for Solarisbank's international expansion.

Mayenobe says, "I am very excited to join the Solarisbank team in its inspiring mission - to completely rethink banking." She is expected to help steer business transformations and implement go-to-market strategies.

The bank's new head of growth has a long career in the European payments industry, where she has held various leadership roles. Most recently, she was vice CEO and executive committee member of fintech Natixis Payments. Prior to that, Mayenobe spent more than 12 years at Ingenico Group. There, she made it to Managing Director Europe for the retail division, where she was responsible for more than 1,500 employees and managed revenues of €400 million. Mayenobe was born in 1976 and is a graduate of the École supérieure de commerce et de management (ESCEM) in Tours, France, and San Diego State University.

Solarisbank is headquartered in Berlin and London. The company now employs over 700 people in eight locations in Europe and India. Total revenue in 2021 was around 100 million euros: according to the bank, this is a growth of over 90 percent compared to the previous year.
