Coyo buys Jubiwee

Both companies focus on internal communication within the company. Now the German company is taking over its French competitor.

The Hamburg-based start-up Coyo is expanding and buying the French start-up Jubiwee. This will make Paris the French headquarters of Coyo. "I am extremely happy about the merger," says Coyo founder Jan Marius Marquardt. "Apart from innovative technology, there's no better way to start building a site in France than to join forces with a French team that's already successful and shares our values."

Coyo offers employee communications software that the startup first tested during the coron pandemic. Eighty percent of the companies testing have stayed, Marquardt told Wirtschaftswoche. The 400 customers include Eon, Deutsche Bahn and Rittersport, for example. Founded in 2010, the start-up Coyo was self-financed for ten years. At the end of 2020, the US investment firm Marlin Equity Partners took over the majority.

In the merger, Jubiwee's employees will be taken over and founder Thibaud Martin will move to Coyo's management: "Merging with COYO is the best way to create a more comprehensive offering and grow faster at this crucial time," says Martin. Jubiwee operates a digital platform for employee feedback. In the long term, Coyo wants to integrate Jubiwee's offering into its own software.
