Last week, Spokebase, the company behind the Dropp brand, filed for insolvency. A year ago, the start-up was still raising money from investors such as Atlantic Ventures.

Last year, Dropp closed a pre-seed financing round worth two million euros, but now the start-up is apparently bankrupt. This was reported by the Tagesspiegel newspaper, citing an insolvency announcement by Spokebase, the company behind the brand, in the register of the Charlottenburg district court.

Nicolas Pörschke, Alessa Kristina Vogler and Philip Braun founded Dropp in Berlin last year. The start-up offers a delivery service for e-commerce companies. They can store their goods with Dropp. Dropp's e-bike couriers then deliver the products to customers within three hours of ordering. Companies can simply integrate the service into their own online store.

The start-up's investors to date include Atlantic Ventures, Kima Ventures, Collective Ventures and former Gorillas managers Ronny Shibley and Jörg Kattner.
