The start-up Neonzoon is launching a crowdfunding campaign. They want to sell a portable lamp that can attach itself almost anywhere.

When you move from room to room at home, at least one item always comes with you: your smartphone. In future, it could also be a small lamp that a student from Freising has developed. It is handy, battery-operated and attaches itself to almost any surface. From there, it should provide light at the desk, while eating, washing hands and reading. According to the developer, it could even be taken on trips.

To make the small lamp a reality, the start-up behind it, Neozoon, has initiated a crowdfunding campaign. From April 15, the team wants to collect money from the community. Supporters will receive a limited number of lamps at a price of 95 euros. The lamp itself will then cost 120 euros when sold.

Founder Lukas Heintschel came up with the idea back in 2016, but it was only a year and a half ago that it was implemented. He got two friends on board, Tim Pfeilschifter and Kilian Klepper, and founded the start-up Neozoon. Together, they set about developing the first prototypes. They received support from Munich University of Applied Sciences.

The aim is to make the lamp not only handy, but also 100% recyclable and locally produced. The lamps will later be available via their own online store, but stores in Freising city center are also interested, Heintschel told the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In addition to the lamp, the start-up also wants to offer other products.
