The Stockholm-based AI startup Spiich has raised three million euros in a seed funding round. The round was led by Ugly Duckling Ventures, with Alliance VC and Cherry Ventures joining as new investors. Existing investor Ampli Ventures has invested again. This brings the total funding for the company—which was founded just in June 2025—to 3.6 million euros. Spiich develops AI agents designed to handle administrative and preparatory tasks in sales, allowing sales representatives to spend more time with their customers.

AI Is Not Intended to Replace Salespeople

While numerous AI applications in sales automate parts of the direct customer interaction, Spiich, according to its own description, takes the opposite approach.

The startup believes that trust and personal relationships remain crucial, especially in more complex sales processes. AI is therefore not intended to take over the sales conversation, but rather to automate as many tasks related to the actual sales process as possible.

These include, among other things, prospecting, preparation, data entry, and other recurring processes. Spiich cites figures from Salesforce’s “State of Sales 2026,” which indicate that sales representatives spend only 22 percent of their working time in direct contact with customers.

50 Customers After 15 Months

Spiich was founded in Stockholm in June 2025 by CEO Johan Torssell and CTO Dennis Hadzialic. About 15 months later, the company reports having 50 customers in 15 countries across Europe, the U.S., and South America.

Clients include NORNORM, ProfitMetrics, Zaver, Airmee, Rebaba, and Epiminds, among others.

The startup is also reporting strong growth metrics. In the first half of 2026, annual recurring revenue (ARR) grew by 100 percent month-over-month. Spiich reports a net revenue retention rate of 160 percent. More than 50,000 deals have now been closed via the platform. These figures are provided by the company.

Less Prospecting, More Client Meetings

Spiich also cites specific benefits from using the software. Customers have, in some cases, doubled the number of client meetings, reduced the time spent on prospecting by 90 percent, and tripled their market coverage.

Spiich does not want to be positioned merely as another AI assistant alongside existing sales applications. Rather, the platform is intended to become the central work environment for sales teams.

The company distinguishes itself from the traditional CRM approach. While a CRM primarily stores information that employees enter into it, Spiich is also designed to understand what is actually happening in a customer relationship and to independently derive actions from that understanding.

Conversations, Emails, and Signals as the Data Foundation

The data foundation plays a central role here. Since sales employees organize their work through Spiich, the system can, according to the company, consolidate information from customer conversations, emails, internal notes, and external signals.

On this basis, a so-called “intelligence layer” is to be created. The AI is designed not only to document but also to analyze relationships, identify next steps, and take on tasks.

This moves Spiich toward an agent-based sales system that intervenes more deeply in operational processes than traditional CRM or assistant software.

Capital for Expansion in Europe

With the three million euros, Spiich now plans to expand both its engineering and go-to-market teams. The initial focus is on further expansion in Europe.

In addition to institutional investors, the startup is backed by founders from the Lovable, Neo4j, and Tandem Health ecosystems. According to the company, the investor roster also includes angels from the OpenAI ecosystem.

Spiich will now have to demonstrate whether the results achieved so far with 50 customers can be scaled to a significantly larger user base. The high net revenue retention and rapid ARR growth in particular point to strong early adoption, though they are still based on a comparatively small starting point.

The company’s fundamental positioning is clear: rather than placing AI between salespeople and customers, Spiich aims to automate as much as possible of what has traditionally stood between them.
