The Munich-based neobroker is now part of the Axel Springer portal. The founders remain on board.

The financial news portal Finanzen.net swallows the free broker. This is reported exclusively by Finanz-Szene. The site, which belongs to Axel Springer, already has its own robo advisor called Oskar, which is provided by Scalable Capital.

Gratisbroker was founded just over a year ago. The neobroker is backed by former bank managers Stefan Mross, Malte Rubruck and Philipp Röben. According to Finanz-Szene, the founders will remain on board after the takeover.

Finanzen.net is not the only business news site that has its own broker. The AG behind the Wallstreet Online portal also owns Smartbroker, one of the largest providers on the German market.
