fiskaly takes over Deutsche Fiskal

New merger in the FinTech sector. The acquisition allows fiskaly to bundle expertise and strengthen its market position.

Vienna/Berlin, March 27, 2025 - The provider fiskaly is acquiring DF Deutsche Fiskal GmbH, a subsidiary of GK Software SE. The aim is to further develop innovative solutions for the German market and roll them out internationally.

Stronger market position through merger

fiskaly will benefit from Deutsche Fiskal's experience in the German fiscalization market. At the same time, fiskaly will contribute its technological expertise. The company is represented with its solutions at over 600,000 points of sale and has more than 1,000 B2B customers, including large retail chains and providers of checkout systems such as orderbird, Lightspeed, SumUp and ready2order.

While fiskaly is regarded as an innovation leader in the field of cloud-based fiscalization, Deutsche Fiskal is an established partner for store-based retail. The acquisition creates a strong basis for further growth in Germany and Europe.

Support from Verdane and international expansion

Since June 2024, fiskaly has been supported by the investment company Verdane, which is helping the company to expand its market position in Germany, Spain and Austria as well as its expansion into other European countries. The acquisition of Deutsche Fiskal is an important step towards further improving the compliance and efficiency of fiscalization solutions.

Continuity for existing customers

For existing customers of Deutsche Fiskal, everything remains unchanged. All services will be continued under fiskaly. Customers will also benefit from the combined innovative strength of both companies.

Personnel and integration

All employees of Deutsche Fiskal will be taken over. The previous Managing Directors Matthias Robeck and Michael Scheibner are leaving, but will remain active in an advisory capacity. Martin Breidenbach, previously Vice President Development and Cloud Operations, will take over as CEO and will manage the integration of the companies.

Deutsche Fiskal has built up a leading cloud solution for fiscalization in Germany in recent years. We are convinced that it will remain a strong partner under fiskaly.

The acquisition is to be completed on March 31, 2025. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
