PDKINEMATICS Receives 2 Million Euros to Scale Up Precision Steering Systems for Drones
The Lithuanian defense technology company PDKINEMATICS has closed a seed funding round of 2 million euros. The round was co-led by the Lithuanian state-owned investment fund Coinvest Capital and Iron Wolf Capital, an investor specializing in defense technologies. Several business angels and experienced technology entrepreneurs also participated.
With the new capital, the company plans to expand production of its precision guidance systems, accelerate their adoption in Europe and Ukraine, and develop new technologies for the next generation of modern drone systems.
Precision as the Key to Modern Drone Warfare
The war in Ukraine has fundamentally changed the role of unmanned systems. According to the company, approximately 300,000 drone-delivered munitions are deployed there every month. The vast majority of these currently lack precision guidance.
This is precisely what PDKINEMATICS has recognized and made its mission. The company develops technologies that make conventional drone munitions significantly more precise while simultaneously increasing the safety of the systems in use. The founders view precision guidance as one of the key capabilities of future drone systems—both for Ukraine and for NATO countries, which are massively expanding their unmanned capabilities.
Gannet is designed to expand the operational capabilities of drones
At the heart of the product portfolio is the “Gannet” system. This is a compact precision guidance system for larger drone platforms. According to the company, operators can use it to strike targets with precision from altitudes of up to 700 meters. This is roughly six times the typical operational altitude of unguided munitions.
Furthermore, the system was developed for use under challenging conditions. It is considered resistant to electronic jamming, operates in various weather conditions, and can be integrated into existing drone platforms within a few weeks.

Successful Missions in Ukraine
Even before the funding round was completed, PDKINEMATICS was able to establish several key partnerships. These include a collaboration with Bavovna.ai, one of Ukraine’s largest manufacturers of bomber drones. The company’s systems are already being integrated into relevant platforms and used under real-world operational conditions.
In addition, PDKINEMATICS is collaborating with the Italian drone manufacturer SiraLab and has been selected to participate in “Iron Wolf 2026,” Lithuania’s largest international military exercise. This is considered important proof of the technology’s NATO compatibility.
Europe’s Defense Industry Is Investing in Drone Capabilities
This funding comes at a time when Europe is investing heavily in drone and defense technologies. Through the European Drone Defense Initiative, the European Union is driving the expansion of relevant capabilities, while several NATO member states are jointly developing new UAV-based attack capabilities.
PDKINEMATICS is therefore particularly attractive to investors because the company already has practical combat experience with its systems and is simultaneously geared toward the requirements of Western armed forces.
Expansion of the Product Pipeline
In addition to the Gannet system, the company is already working on other components for modern drone systems. These include proximity fuses for loitering munitions and interceptor drones, as well as new technologies to counter electronic jamming. These solutions are expected to reach market-ready prototype status by the end of 2026.
With this latest round of funding, the total capital raised now stands at 3 million euros. In the long term, PDKINEMATICS aims to establish itself as a leading provider of precision guidance and targeting systems for NATO-compliant drone platforms, thereby building an important bridge between the lessons learned on the Ukrainian battlefield and the European defense industries.
