Fobizz reaches milestone

According to the company's own figures, one in four teachers in Germany has already completed a training course with Fobizz.

Fobizz's professional development platform for teachers has been on the market since 2018. Now the start-up by Theresa Grotendorst and Diane Knodel has reached an important milestone: 200,000 teachers are already using the service, which according to the start-up is around 25 percent of all teachers in Germany. In 2021 alone, users of the platform completed 500,000 online continuing education courses.

Around 100 lecturers share their knowledge with teachers on the continuing education platform. Teachers learn how to use digital media in the classroom. In this way, Fobizz aims to reduce the deficit in digital skills that was particularly evident during homeschooling in the pandemic.

"We are convinced that advanced training is the key to digital literacy and the lever for a good education for our children," says Fobizz founder Theresa Grotendorst. "We're on a good path, because with fobizz we've already been able to improve the teaching and education of more than five million student:s."
