Founder reportedly wants to leave Frischepost

According to media reports, Eva Neugebauer wants to switch from the insolvent delivery service to competitor Flaschenpost. The future of Frischepost is looking increasingly bleak.

News from the insolvent food delivery service Frischepost: After the Hamburg-based company found itself without money at the beginning of August, one of the founders now seems to be planning to switch to Flaschenpost - including customer data and some of her colleagues. This is reported by the e-commerce magazine Internet World Business.

In an e-mail to customers quoted by the magazine, co-founder Eva Neugebauer announces her intention to switch to Flaschenpost. In the letter, she asked to be allowed to take customers' addresses with her. The beverage delivery service, which belongs to Dr. Oetker, has been working since 2020 to move into the grocery business as well. It is unclear whether Neugebauer's possible move is linked to these plans. Flaschenpost has not commented so far.

Frischepost had slipped into insolvency at the end of July after a takeover by Berlin-based Footprint Club failed. Initially, there were plans to continue the business. But just under two weeks ago, the start-up announced it was scrapping those plans as well, and operations were suspended. Now Neugebauer, who founded the company in 2015 together with Juliane Willing, who had already left before the quarrels, also seems to no longer really believe in continuing operations.
