Hundreds of Durstexpress notices invalid?

According to a report by Gründerszene , the Dr.-Oetker subsidiary will have to forego layoffs at its Leipzig location for the time being. The employment agency is opposing the move.
The dismissals of 450 employees at the former Flaschenpost competitor Durstexpress are probably unlawful. This is reported by Gründerszene
, citing a letter from the Leipzig employment agency. A layoff ban is now in effect until March 22. In the case of mass layoffs, the employment agency has the option to take this step, in the case of Durstexpress, it used it.The layoffs were a result of the merger of Durstexpress and Flaschenpost. Both companies are now owned by Dr. Oetker. The food company had acquired Flaschenpost last year for one billion euros and now wants to merge the beverage delivery service with its own start-up Durstexpress.
The stipulation of the Leipzig employment agency only applies to the location in the large Saxon city. Dr. Oetker also wants to close Durstexpress stores in other cities, which are in direct competition with Flaschenpost. In the medium term, the Durstexpress brand will probably disappear completely.
