Hyperscience takes over Boxplot

The US company and the Berlin-based start-up now want to combine their offerings for data collection and modeling.
The machine learning company Hyperscience has announced that it has acquired the Berlin-based start-up Boxplot. This is the New York-based company's first acquisition of another company. The two providers hope that the combination of the Hyperscience platform with Boxplot's graph technology will lead to faster and better results for customers. It should also drive innovation.
"At Hyperscience, we believe that machines and humans work better together. This is a central tenet of what we call human-centered automation," says Peter Brodsky, CEO and co-founder of Hyperscience. "Hyperscience processes data and Boxplot connects and stores data relationships. The two fit together harmoniously, because how data is stored determines how it can be processed and vice versa." This is also how Boxplot co-founder and CEO Fabian Schmidt-Jakobi sees it: "We are looking forward to becoming part of the Hyperscience team and merging Boxplot into the Hyperscience Platform," he says.
Boxplot offers a tool for modeling chart data. The aim is to enable companies to visualize and better understand their customers' data. They should also be able to examine how it relates to other data in their company. With the help of Hyperscience's platform, companies can read and understand unstructured data - including policies, invoices and emails - on a large scale. This should speed up processing times tenfold. The combination of both platforms is now set to improve the offering.
