Little Lunch brings out chocolate soup
The "Lion's Den" start-up Little Lunch is launching a limited edition chocolate soup.
If you can trust the reviews in the online shop, this strange product must taste almost incredible. For example, one user comments, "I'm in 7th heaven." But can it really be that delicious? The start-up company Little Lunch, which many may know from the TV show "The Lion's Den", now offers a strictly limited chocolate soup. The still young company wants 2.99 euros for it and 20,000 glasses to sell.
The idea was initially an April Fool's joke, based on Dr. Oetker's soon-to-be-released chocolate pizza. But because the fans of the Augsburg company were so vehemently demanding a chocolate soup, the start-up company gave in and now gave its customers a small, probably not quite serious, pre-Christmas present. The company's first sweet soup can now be found in the online shop alongside pea stew and cheese delicacies.
According to the company, 70 percent of the chocolate soup consists of whole milk, the rest is thickener and sugar. Little Lunch also advertises that the chocolate soup can be used universally: as a dessert sauce, drinking chocolate or simply for spooning.
The start-up's campaign is reminiscent of Dr. Oetker's chocolate pizza, which the company introduced three years ago. What many fans wanted, however, apparently didn't sell well, the demand was not high enough. 2019 then came the end of the "Pizza Dolce al Cioccolato".
