Littlelunch launches chocolate soup

The "Höhle der Löwen" start-up littlelunch is launching a limited edition chocolate soup on the market.
If the reviews in the online store are to be trusted, this peculiar product must taste almost unbelievable. One user comments, for example: "I'm in 7th heaven." But can it really be that tasty? The start-up Little Lunch, which many may know from the TV show "Die Höhle der Löwen" (The Lion's Den), now has a strictly limited chocolate soup on offer. The young company wants 2.99 euros for it and plans to sell 20,000 jars.
The idea was initially an April Fool's joke, based on Dr. Oetker's chocolate pizza, which will soon be discontinued. But because the fans of the Augsburg-based company were so vehement in their demand for chocolate soup, the start-up gave in and has now given its customers a small, probably not entirely serious, pre-Christmas present. The company's first sweet soup can now be found in the online store alongside pea pots and cheese delicacies.
According to the company, 70 percent of the chocolate soup consists of whole milk, with the rest being thickeners and sugar. Little Lunch also advertises that the chocolate soup can be used universally: as a dessert sauce, drinking chocolate or simply for spooning.
The start-up's campaign is reminiscent of Dr. Oetker's chocolate pizza, which the company introduced three years ago. However, what many fans wanted apparently didn't sell well and demand wasn't high enough. 2019 then saw the end of "Pizza Dolce al Cioccolato".
