The mathematics graduate previously worked as a manager at DHL Freight. With him, the start-up is now set to become profitable.

Instafreight has expanded its management team: Martin Leopold will fill the newly created position of Chief Financial Officer. Previously, the 54-year-old worked for DHL Freight, the logistics arm of Deutsche Post, for eight years. From 2014 to 2017, he held the position of chief financial officer, after which he was responsible for sales.

"For me, the decision to join InstaFreight is linked to the desire to work in a dynamically growing scale-up on both securing best-proven and new corporate structures," says Leopold. With his help, the logistics start-up should continue to grow and become profitable.

Instafreight has been around since 2016, having developed a digital platform for logistics in Europe that allows shippers to use the loading capacities of more than 25,000 freight companies. In March of this year, the scale-up secured $40 million in a funding round(we reported).
