Co-founder Cornelius Patt leaves Zooplus

After 23 years, Patt is now leaving the company he co-founded. A successor has not yet been appointed.
Zooplus Managing Director Cornelius Patt will be leaving the company he founded after a transitional year, as the start-up itself has announced. Until a successor is found for him, Patt will continue to work as Managing Director of the online pet supplies company. The Zooplus Supervisory Board and Patt have decided to take this step by mutual agreement.
Patt co-founded Zooplus in 1999 and has been Managing Director since 2006. "After spending almost 23 years building Zooplus into the successful company it is today, the time is right for me to pass on the baton," says Patt. "With its outstanding team, two first-class shareholders and the dynamic growth of the pet e-commerce market, the future of Zooplus looks brighter than ever before." The new business figures for 2021 also point to growth: Zooplus' total sales grew by 286 million to a total of around 2.1 billion euros.
Nevertheless, Zooplusdelisted from the stock exchange at the beginning of the year after more than 13 years. The portal Exciting Commerce also sees the reasons for Patt's resignation in the stock market exit. According to the portal, the new owners of Zooplus wanted to exploit market opportunities more consistently.
