The Munich-based deep tech company NavVis has closed a Series D funding round totaling $85 million. The round is led by the U.S. private equity firm The Jordan Company (TJC). Existing investors Yttrium (together with a consortium of industrial family offices), KOZO KEIKAKU ENGINEERING (KKE), and Cipio Partners also participated.

NavVis plans to use the fresh capital to further expand its geodata platform, accelerate its AI roadmap, and, in particular, strengthen its market presence in the U.S.

Spatial Data as the Foundation for Physical AI

NavVis develops technologies for the digital capture and management of complex industrial facilities, factories, and buildings. The combination of high-precision mobile reality-capture technology and the NavVis IVION cloud platform enables companies to create so-called “spatial twins”—digital representations of real-world environments that are continuously updated.

According to the company, more than one billion square meters of industrial and building space were captured and processed in 2025 alone. The data is increasingly serving as the foundation for automation, robotics, and AI-driven decision-making processes.

More than 1,500 customers worldwide

According to NavVis, more than 1,500 customers in over 50 countries already rely on the platform. Users include BMW, Volkswagen, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, BASF, Bosch, Henkel, ExxonMobil, Siemens, and KION, among others. The company also collaborates with technology partners such as SAP, NVIDIA, and Autodesk.

More than 150,000 users employ the platform for applications such as maintenance processes, factory planning, construction projects, and the deployment of autonomous robots.

AI and International Expansion on the Horizon

With the new funding, NavVis plans to expand its platform with additional AI capabilities. The goal is not only to capture spatial data but also to process it semantically and make it usable for both humans and autonomous systems. At the same time, the company plans to further expand its business in the U.S. in particular, which is currently its fastest-growing market.
