P101 and PranaVentures Launch Italy's First Consolidated Venture Capital Platform
The Italian venture capital investor P101 SGR is acquiring the venture capital firm PranaVentures, thereby completing the first consolidation transaction in the Italian venture capital market. The integration creates a new investment platform with more than 600 million euros in assets under management, which will support startups from the pre-seed phase through to international scaling.
Consolidation as a Response to Changes in the Venture Capital Market
The transaction comes at a time of profound change in the European venture capital ecosystem. Increasing concentration of capital, rising demands from institutional investors, and the growing importance of operational support are fundamentally altering the operating environment for venture capital firms.
Against this backdrop, scale, specialization, and long-term support capabilities are set to become decisive competitive advantages. The new platform combines P101’s international growth and scale-up expertise with PranaVentures’ seed investment experience.
New Platform Supports Startups Throughout Their Entire Lifecycle
With this integration, P101 is expanding its investment model to include the seed stage for the first time. The existing management structure led by Managing Partner Andrea Di Camillo will be supplemented by the PranaVentures team. Lisa Di Sevo, founder of PranaVentures, and Partner Guido Giordano will continue to oversee the seed stage.
The goal is to support founders throughout the entire course of their company’s development—from the initial idea through early funding rounds to international expansion. In addition to capital, the platform will provide operational support, international networks, and follow-on financing.
Prana101 aims to raise 100 million euros for Europe’s next generation of technology
In parallel with the integration, the new platform is launching a fundraising campaign for its first joint fund, “Prana101.” The fund is expected to reach a target volume of 100 million euros, with an initial closing planned for later this year.
The fund focuses on pre-seed and seed investments in European technology companies. Particular emphasis is placed on business models centered on artificial intelligence, next-generation digital infrastructure, and innovative business and consumer services.
With Prana101, the platform’s total assets under management could grow to as much as 700 million euros. The combined portfolio already includes more than 80 active companies, which collectively generated approximately two billion euros in revenue in 2025 and employ more than 5,500 people.
Artificial Intelligence Is Also Transforming Early-Stage Investing
For Lisa Di Sevo, the founding of Prana101 marks a turning point for the European startup landscape. Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the economics of building a business: it could reduce the capital requirements of early-stage startups by up to 70 percent, while significantly increasing the speed of execution.
As a result, speed, operational support, and efficient decision-making processes are becoming just as important as access to capital. The combination of seed-stage expertise, operational support, and greater financing resources is designed to address precisely these needs.
More than one billion euros in assets under management
P101 founder Andrea Di Camillo views the transaction as an important step toward a new generation of European venture capital platforms. The combination of specialization, financial strength, and international networks is intended to help build, over the long term, an institutionally oriented venture capital platform that is competitive across Europe.
The long-term goal is ambitious: In the medium term, the group’s assets under management are expected to grow to more than one billion euros.
