More efficient spare parts management thanks to digitalization: The B2B tech startup is successful with seed financing and is driving forward the automation of logistics processes in mechanical engineering.

Pliezhausen, February 5, 2025 - The German B2B tech startup PartsCloud has received €5 million in seed funding from Newion, MBG and SquareOne. With this investment, the company is further advancing the digitalization of spare parts management in mechanical engineering. PartsCloud offers an all-in-one platform that helps companies to make their spare parts planning more efficient, automate logistics processes and reduce costs.

Challenge: High inventories and inefficient processes

Many machine manufacturers still manage their spare parts using Excel spreadsheets and manual processes, which leads to overstocks of up to 80% and high costs. At the same time, machine downtime due to a missing spare part can lead to considerable financial losses. This is exactly where PartsCloud comes in: The platform digitizes the entire spare parts process - from planning to customs clearance and logistics.

What has been missing until now is a data-driven solution that enables predictive spare parts planning.

Increased efficiency through AI-supported forecasts

PartsCloud enables companies to process spare parts orders with the same ease as online orders. By using artificial intelligence, inventories can be reduced by up to 30%, process costs cut by 79% and manual planning effort reduced by 85%.

Thanks to PartsOS Inventory, we have been able to improve spare parts availability and drastically reduce manual effort.

More than 25 companies in Europe and the USA already rely on PartsCloud.

Investors see great market potential

The digitalization of spare parts management is a growing market that is becoming increasingly relevant due to economic pressure and a shortage of skilled workers. Leopold Lindner, VC investor at Newion, explains: "Many mechanical engineering companies are struggling with outdated systems and inefficient processes. PartsCloud offers a solution that helps small and medium-sized companies to remain competitive and efficiently meet global demand."

Since its foundation in 2021, PartsCloud has already raised 7.5 million euros. With the new funding, the company aims to further expand its AI-powered software and enter new markets, including Asia.

Simple integration for companies

The platform can be easily integrated into existing ERP systems and enables automated control of the entire supply chain. By networking with logistics partners, customs agencies and transport service providers, PartsCloud offers a centralized solution without additional personnel costs. COO Fabian Gemmecke describes it as an "all-round carefree package" for machine manufacturers.

With the successful financing round and a clear focus on increasing efficiency and reducing costs, PartsCloud could permanently change spare parts management in mechanical engineering. We last reported on PartsCloud on Startbase in 2023, when we reported on its expansion into the USA.
