US investor Peter Thiel wants to earn money in Europe

125 million euros are to be raised for Christian Angermayer's Elevat3 fund. Peter Thiel will receive a share of the profits.
Peter Thiel, co-founder of Paypal and initial investor in Facebook, is apparently benefiting more than previously thought from his investment in Christian Angermayer's Elevat3 fund. The fund is intended to support start-ups in the growth phase in particular and has set its focus on companies from the German-speaking region that want to establish themselves in the biotech, fintech, artificial intelligence or blockchain sectors, among others. The amount of money Thiel is giving to Elevat3 is not known. But Thiel is also more than just an investor or partner, according to Angermayer. Speaking to CNBC
recently, he said: (He is) more than an investor, he owns part of the GP (gross profit)."20 million for Elevat3 is already coming from Angermayer's Apeiron Investment Group, 80 million from external partners like Peter Thiel. Initially, Thomas Hanke and Marlon Braumann will take over the operational business, each with a stake of one million euros.
Peter Thiel already entered the fund of Elevat3 at the beginning of 2020, he and Christian Angermayer have known each other for some time. The two greats of the start-up scene first met in 2011 and worked together again and again. Just recently, the two investors invested in the Berlin-based biotech start-up ATAI: Thiel with 10 million euros, Angermayer is involved through his Apeiron Investment Group.
Angermayer's Apeiron Investment Group invested in more than 50 startups in the US and Europe with numerous IPOs.
