The start-up hopes to benefit from the experience of its investors. It is also currently looking for a good 50 new employees.

The Heidelberg-based start-up Klarsolar has received a new investment. Global Founders Capital, a subsidiary of Rocket Internet, is putting money into the solar start-up and becoming lead investor. The amount of the investment is not known. Global Founders Capital has previously invested in Zalando, Delivery Hero and Home24, among others. Klarsolar also hopes to benefit from the experience of investors through this investment, especially with regard to scaling and recruiting.

Klarsolar was founded in 2018 and offers a configurator that can be used to handle all services related to the construction of a solar system. On the website, customers can book tradesmen and take out financing, among other things. "We are convinced that decentralized energy systems, i.e. intelligently networked solar systems on buildings, battery storage and charging infrastructure, will be an essential part of the new energy world," says Jan Ossenbrink, partner at Global Founders Capital. Klarsolar wants to put the money into the further development of the platform, the product portfolio and, above all, into the team. Currently, 50 positions are advertised. "If we continue on our growth path, the team will grow to more than 1,000 employees in 2025," says CEO Bastian Arend.
