SmartLoC, a start-up from Hamburg, has successfully raised 1.8 million euros in a seed financing round. The investors see great potential in the company's digital payment solution for international trade.

Hamburg, June 6, 2024 - Hamburg-based start-up SmartLoC has successfully completed its seed financing round and raised 1.8 million euros. The financing round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). Other investors include Loggerhead Ventures, MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Schleswig-Holstein mbH and several business angels.

Digital payment solution

SmartLoC is developing a digital B2B payment solution that is based on freight monitoring and aims to make international trade more efficient. The start-up relies on technologies such as IoT, blockchain and artificial intelligence. The aim is to make cross-border transactions more secure and seamless.

Investors are positive about the future

Loggerhead Ventures also sees SmartLoC as a promising investment. The team has the technical know-how and entrepreneurial experience to grow quickly and revolutionize the market."

Following the completion of the seed round, SmartLoC plans to drive the development of its platform, expand the team and accelerate time to market. The focus will be on providing a modern and efficient payment solution that enables companies to conduct seamless cross-border transactions.
