Uptodate expands its management

Christian Geiling comes from Uptodate's parent company and will, among other things, improve the collaboration between the start-up and the insurance chamber.

Uptodate is expanding its management team at the beginning of next month: Christian Geiling will strengthen the team of Managing Director Jessica Schneider and Chief Technology Officer Martin Hilgers in the future.

The start-up has already existed since 2018 and wants to help its customers make their everyday lives more sustainable, healthier and safer. To this end, Uptodate launched the Earnest app in September 2020. It supports users in developing new routines. The start-up belongs to the Versicherungskammer group.

Geiling now also joined the start-up from the parent company. Since 2010, the 42-year-old has worked in various positions for Versicherungskammer. Initially, he worked as an auditor, then he was in charge of corporate management at Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg. Since 2017, he worked as a project and department manager. In this role, he was responsible for the areas of customers and sales as a program manager. He will continue to hold this position.

With his network and experience in customer management and sales, Geiling will now strengthen the cooperation between the start-up and Versicherungskammer. "Christian will help us drive joint product and service development with Versicherungskammer and create the conditions for us to optimally process the customer insights we receive from uptodate customers," says Uptodate Managing Director Jessica Schneider.
