Visa and Plan A cooperate

The payment service provider wants to include the start-up's software in its fintech program. The goal of the cooperation is the sustainable transformation of companies worldwide.
Visa, the global leader in digital payments, and German start-up Plan A have announced an exclusive, long-term partnership. As part of the collaboration, Visa will offer the Plan A Sustainability Platform, a one-stop software solution for companies on carbon accounting, decarbonization and ESG reporting, to its issuer network as part of the Fintech Partner Connect program. Fintech Partner Connect is a program in which Visa offers different digital platforms and solutions to its business clients.
Plan A aims to help businesses on their net zero journey, measuring and reducing one gigaton of CO2 annually. With Visa's strong position with global businesses, Plan A hopes to attract new customers, which the startup hopes to enable "to decarbonize their operations and value chains, report their ESG performance, and take a leadership role in sustainable transformation," says Plan A CEO Lubomila Jordanova.
Lubomila Jordanova and Nathan Bonnisseau founded Plan A in 2017, and the company counts N26, BMW, Trivago and the European Union among its clients.
