According to Gründerszene, the new owner Camplify is paying out part of the 31 million euros in shares. In addition, the shareholders of the Australian portal are to invest a further 5.5 million euros in the German company.
Berlin-based Dirk Fehse founded Paulcamper back in 2013. Over the years, various investors have joined the start-up, including the media companies Russmedia and Mairdumont, the Norwegian classifieds portal Adevinta, the New York-based investor FJ Labs and the Spanish VC All Iron Ventures. In total, Paulcamper has raised several rounds of financing, according to start-up scene more than eleven million euros.
