Wort und Bild publishing group acquires stake in fitness start-up

Fit Tech Company has established a platform for networking players in the fitness and health industry. Now the start-up is getting support from the Wort und Bild publishing group.

The start-up Fit Tech Company has it a new investor: the Wort und Bild publishing group is participating through its subsidiary Isartal Ventures, which primarily supports companies in the e-health sector. "We believe that the FitTech industry will become even more closely intertwined with the healthcare industry. With our commitment, we support the young, promising team around Natalia Karbasova," says CEO Andreas Arntzen of the publishing house.

Natalia Karbasova founded the start-up with Sergej Hermann, Max Gaub and Andreas Schröder. From June, former Fitness First CEO Sefan Tilk will join the team as Chief Advisor New Business. Commenting on the publisher's support, the founder says: "The cooperation with the Wort & Bild publishing group takes us a big step further in the strategic positioning of the company."

The start-up is best known for its Fittech Summit conference, which has been held annually since 2018 and is attended by stakeholders from the fitness, health and tech industries. "With FitTech Summit, we have built an internationally recognized brand that has established itself as a hotspot for founders and industry decision makers," Karbasova says.
