ZOLAR GmbH secures loans amounting to 100 million euros from BNP Paribas

Homeowners can now benefit from flexible payment options for solar energy with "Zolar Easypay", thanks to a partnership between zolar and BNP Paribas. The investment underlines the growing interest of financial institutions in Europe's green transformation

Berlin, April 08, 2024 - The German solar platform ZOLAR GmbH has received loan commitments of 100 million euros from BNP Paribas. This partnership enables the launch of its new financing product "zolar Easypay", which makes it easier for homeowners to access affordable solar energy.

New "zolar Easypay" financing solution for solar energy

With "zolar Easypay", the company is expanding its offering for German households. Customers can choose between a one-off payment and a flexible monthly fee. The solution is particularly flexible and customizable for solar system owners.

The residential solar market is maturing and the demand for innovative solutions has never been greater.

ZOLAR business model

zolar GmbH received a total of 300 million euros to support its mission. This transaction is proof of the growing development of the market and the increasing interest of financial institutions in green transformation in Europe. ZOLAR GmbH was founded in Berlin in 2016. The climate tech start-up provides homeowners and regional tradespeople with access to customized solar solutions via an online platform. Zolar aims to supply more than ten million households in Europe with renewable energy by 2030. With a network of over 700 regional trade partners, the company is one of the largest online providers for the private energy transition. It employs around 500 people and is led by an experienced management team.
