The startup plans to use the money to buy more electrical installation companies and bring its software platform to market.

Climate startup 1Komma5 has raised 200 million euros in a Series A funding round. According to information from Gründerszene Porsche Ventures, Btov Partners, eCapital and Eurazeo jointly led the round. The Haniel family, the Schürfeld Group and Jan Klatten also invested. Just last December, 1Komma5 received around 100 million euros.

The start-up by Philipp Schröder, Micha Grüber and Jannik Schall buys electrical installation companies and helps them digitize. The businesses then install solar systems, electricity storage and charging infrastructure for the start-up's customers. With the money from the financing round, 1Komma5 wants to finance further acquisitions. The startup also wants to accelerate the development of its software platform for a decentralized power grid. This is due to be launched at the end of the month.

For the current round of financing, 1Komma5 had received many offers from investors. Co-founder Philipp Schröder is well connected as a former Tesla manager. "In the end, we accepted 20 investors and sent 40 rejections," Schröder told Gründerszene.
