The start-up has won over an Ebay classifieds investor with its software for selling used cars.

Munich-based start-up 2trde has received seven million euros in its seed financing round. The lead investor in the round is Norway's Adevinta Ventures, which also owns Ebay Classifieds. Existing investors Aster Capital and Maniv Mobility are participating again.

Johannes Stoffel and Marcus Lankenau founded the startup in 2017, and 2trde, based in Munich, currently employs 15 people. The founders offer a software solution for car dealerships, leasing companies and manufacturers to help sell more used cars. With the software, sellers can offer their used cars on several auction platforms at once and have less administrative work. The company says it has a four-figure customer base and serves nearly 55,000 dealers and retail partners across Europe.

Stoffel is pleased to have Adevinta Ventures as a new strategic partner. "The experience and industry knowledge of the Adevinta Ventures team will allow us to build on our strong foundation and accelerate our online and international growth plans," Stoffel said. The startup plans to use the new capital to fund expansion abroad as well as new staff.
