Just two weeks ago, it was announced that the former head of digital at Deutsche Bank was joining Penta. Now the start-up was able to expand its current financing round to 30 million euros.

Another seven million euros is added, bringing fintech Penta's Series B funding round to 30 million euros. The round is led by ABN Amro Ventures, with existing investors including Finleap, HV Capital, RTP Global, Presight Capital S7V and VR Ventures.

Online business bank Penta has been offering business accounts for all forms of businesses for three years, and it now has over 25,000 customers. It was only announced at the beginning of February that the former head of digital at Deutsche Bank, Markus Pertlwieser, was joining Penta. The new CEO is happy about the current round and announced to Handelsblatt

"investments in further growth and partnerships".

Penta has been part of fintech incubator Finleap since 2019. Including the current round, the Berlin-based fintech raised €47 million. The competition is fierce, which is why Penta tries to score points through cooperations. These include, for example, one with a Datev marketplace, through which customers can synchronize their receipts with their accounts, or one with fintech Banxware, through which customers can apply for quick loans from KfW.
