German Restructuring Advisory Firm Secures More Than 10 Million Euros in Series A Funding
The Berlin-based ClimateTech startup Deutsche Sanierungsberatung (dsb) has closed a Series A funding round of more than 10 million euros. The round is led by Simon Capital and VERBUND X Ventures. Existing investors IBB Ventures, Vireo Ventures, and Atlantic Food Labs are also participating again.
With the fresh capital, the company plans to further expand its digital platform, launch its own electricity rate plan, expand into the B2B business, and continue to grow its nationwide network of energy consultants and tradespeople.
Digital Platform for Energy-Efficient Renovations
Deutsche Sanierungsberatung supports homeowners in the energy-efficient modernization of their properties. Its services range from independent energy consulting and applying for government grants to implementation in collaboration with certified contractors.
At the heart of the process is a digital twin of the building. Based on this, dsb creates individual renovation roadmaps (iSFP), prioritizes measures, and handles the entire grant application process for programs offered by KfW and BAFA. According to the company, this reduces the organizational burden on homeowners by approximately 80 percent.
Strong Growth Since Founding
Since its founding in 2024, the company has experienced dynamic growth. More than 10,000 homeowners have already used the platform to implement energy-efficiency renovation measures.
For the current year, dsb expects revenue of over 15 million euros. At the same time, the company now collaborates with a network of around 300 local trades businesses.
The Building Sector as Key to the Energy Transition
The building sector accounts for about 30 percent of CO₂ emissions in Germany, making it one of the most significant levers for the energy transition. Nevertheless, many homeowners are reluctant to undertake energy-efficient renovations because planning, subsidy programs, and finding contractors are considered complex.
Deutsche Sanierungsberatung aims to break down these barriers through a fully digitized process and coordinate all steps from a single source. In addition to traditional measures such as heat pumps, solar panels, insulation, and window replacement, the company relies on digital processes that integrate energy consulting, financing, and implementation.
Capital for Further Growth
With the new funding, dsb plans to further develop its platform and tap into additional business areas. Among other things, the company plans to introduce its own electricity rate and enter the B2B market.
At the same time, this funding round demonstrates that investors continue to back scalable ClimateTech business models that combine digitalization with concrete solutions for the energy transition and can demonstrate robust revenue growth at an early stage.
