E-scooter provider Emmy swallows competitor Felyx

This makes Emmy the largest provider on the German market with a fleet of around 4,500 vehicles.
Dutch e-scooter provider Felyx is pulling out of the German market and selling its fleet. The Berlin start-up Emmy is taking over the 1,500 vehicles that Felyx has in service in Berlin. Emmy is also taking over the liabilities of the German company.
With 4,500 scooters, Emmy is now the market leader in Germany and, according to start-up scene the only provider active in the major cities of Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. The Berlin-based company had already been acquired by the Israeli mobility service Goto just over a year ago.
Before Felyx, Tier Mobility had already given up the rental scooter business in December. So far, the industry has rarely managed to make the two-wheeler business profitable. It remains to be seen whether Emmy will now succeed with its large fleet and market-dominating position.
