3VC Invests in Aderis and Bets on an AI-Native Future for ERP and Finance
The Austrian venture capital firm 3VC is investing in the Swiss fintech company Aderis. With the new capital, the company plans to further develop its AI-native financial platform and establish itself in the long term as a European provider in the fintech-ERP category. No details regarding the amount of the investment were disclosed.
Aderis relies on financial software in which artificial intelligence is not retroactively integrated into existing ERP structures, but rather forms the technological core from the very beginning. The company thus targets, in particular, medium-sized and larger enterprises for which traditional accounting software is increasingly reaching its limits.
3VC Bets on the Next Generation of ERP
The investment is based on the premise that the market for ERP and financial software is on the verge of a major technological transformation. Many established systems are reaching the end of their lifecycles, prompting companies to make new migration decisions. At the same time, the shortage of skilled accounting professionals is intensifying the pressure to further automate processes that were previously manual.
Added to this is the development of generative and agent-based AI systems. 3VC anticipates that the next generation of ERP platforms will therefore be AI-native, modular, and API-first in design. Aderis is positioned to address precisely this intersection. The platform combines traditional financial processes with AI-powered automation and is designed to enable companies to increasingly adopt agent-based workflows.
Accounting on an AI-Based Core
Aderis refers to its solution as a “Live Finance Platform.” Accounting runs on an AI-based core and is designed to be handled largely autonomously. At the same time, the company emphasizes traceability: every figure and transaction should be traceable back to its original source.
The open architecture is designed to orchestrate the entire financial cycle across different ledgers and currencies in real time. In this way, Aderis seeks to combine automation with the control required by finance departments. The platform was developed specifically with the requirements of Switzerland and Europe in mind.
Mid-Sized and Larger Companies
Aderis targets medium-sized and larger European companies across various industries. According to the company, the platform is already being used by customers in manufacturing, e-commerce, medtech, and hospitality.
This places the company in a market that is increasingly being challenged by new AI-native providers. While traditional ERP systems often have software architectures that have evolved over many years, newer companies can design their products from the outset to prioritize automation and the use of AI agents.
This creates a new alternative, particularly for growing companies: Instead of inevitably switching to complex traditional ERP systems once they outgrow simple accounting solutions, platforms like Aderis are designed to enable a more automated intermediate step—or a new generation of these systems.
Aderis Aims to Become the European Market Leader
With 3VC, the company has now secured an investor that shares this vision for its development. The goal is to support Aderis on its path to becoming a leading European provider within the emerging FinTech ERP category.
We were on the same page with 3VC from the very beginning, and that has remained the case to this day.
Elian Kool, CEO of Aderis
The announcement does not specify how much capital 3VC is investing in the company or whether other investors are participating in the financing. Aderis aims to leverage the changes brought about by AI to rebuild traditional financial and ERP processes—with automation and AI agents as an integral part of the core architecture rather than as an afterthought.
