ECovery and Techniker Krankenkasse expand cooperation

ECovery provides an individual training program for knee, hip and back problems. Techniker Krankenkasse covers the costs for its insured.
Since the beginning of this year, the Leipzig-based health start-up ECovery and Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) have already been working together to treat knee complaints. Now the two companies have decided to expand their cooperation. In the future, TK will also cover the costs of treatments for hip and back complaints using ECovery's digital physiotherapy app.
Without waiting for an appointment at a physiotherapy practice, insured persons can start treatment immediately. To do so, they obtain information in advance on the Techniker Krankenkasse website and are then redirected to ECovery. After registration and self-assessment, the individual training program starts with a 12- to 24-week therapy program. ECovery provides video instructions and knowledge. The start-up's services are thereby integrated into the health insurance company's website.
"We see a high level of acceptance of digital offerings among our insureds, especially with innovative training offerings," says the head of care management offerings at Techniker Krankenkasse Thomas Heilmann. "That's why we are of course very happy to meet the wishes of our insureds and expand our successful cooperation with eCovery."
