Potsdam-based medtech Diametos receives funding from the state of Brandenburg. The start-up wants to combat snoring with AI.

Diametos from Potsdam has received one million euros in funding from the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg for its research. The medtech offers a medical device that aims to combat snoring. "Our innovative strength in the field of medical diagnostics through artificial intelligence is valued and supported in the state of Brandenburg," says co-founder and CEO Heiko Butz.

The money comes from the ProFIT Brandenburg funding program, which is run by the Ministry of Economics. This will enable the start-up to push ahead with the development of its technology. Diametos' goal is to accurately diagnose snoring and breathing disorders during sleep and then advise doctors on therapy. The product is called Somnofax. Diametos already closed a high six-figure funding round a few months ago. The start-up was only founded last year.
