FINN secures one billion euros for fleet growth

The car subscription platform FINN secures up to one billion euros via new ABS financing. The capital is to be used to expand the vehicle fleet in Germany and Europe.
Munich, February 10, 2025 - The car subscription platform FINN has concluded a new financing program worth up to one billion euros. The so-called Asset-backed Security (ABS II) is provided by leading banks such as Citi and Jefferies and is intended to enable the growth of the vehicle fleet in Germany and Europe.
Extended financing from international banks
The new financing is already FINN's second ABS program. In addition to Citi and Jefferies, Avellinia Capital is also extending and expanding its commitment to fleet financing. The capital will be invested in the purchase of new vehicles in order to expand our offering for customers.
This financing will enable us to continue pursuing our ambitious growth plans and offer our customers even more attractive products and services
Nikolai Schröder, COO and co-founder of FINN
The participation of renowned financial institutions is also a sign of confidence in the company's business model.
Expansion in Germany and Europe
The company plans to use the new financing round to strengthen its market position in Germany and prepare for expansion into other European countries. ABS financing is a central component of the strategy: in this model, the existing vehicle fleet serves as collateral for the funds raised. "Jefferies is excited to support FINN in its next phase of growth and to further drive the customer-centric subscription model," said Mark Collier, EMEA Head of Securitization at Jefferies.
The startup
FINN was founded in Munich in 2019 and offers car subscriptions for vehicles from more than 30 brands. The company takes care of all car-related services - from insurance and maintenance to registration. FINN also offsets the CO₂ emissions of its vehicles by supporting certified climate protection projects. With over 25,000 vehicles in its fleet and more than one billion euros in debt and leasing agreements, FINN is one of the largest providers in the European car subscription market.
